Gratte Brothers Limited have been appointed to deliver the third floor, comprising of 1.5 MW IT load and approximately 400 racks. , Grattes were selected from nine other competitors who bid for the project. They were chosen as they displayed knowledge and expertise of Volta and the Data Centre industry. Established in 1947, Gratte Brothers has over 20 years’ experience in the provision of M&E services within Data Centres for some of the world’s leading corporates and specialises in the complex engineering required in live data centre environments.
Matthew Dent, CEO of Volta comments, ‘The fitting out of the third floor is a significant step in the evolution of Volta as a business and testament to the popularity of the Central London location. We already have several interested parties including existing customers who are set to expand and keen to utilise the additional resource which Volta will be able to provide.’
Dent Continues, ‘We are delighted to be working with Grattes. We believe that they have the knowledge of our organisation and the expertise to create an expansion of our current data centre space, which is in keeping with our state of the art design and provides our customers with the best possible environment.’
Iain Thomson MD of Gratte Brothers concludes, ‘It is with great pleasure that we will work with Volta on expanding the data centre on the third floor. The project will offer future organisations looking to use Volta’s data centre the best possible facilities and the latest in technology.’
