Ensono becomes the latest member to join the Cloud Industry Forum

Leading cloud solutions and hybrid IT services provider joins the CIF community in its efforts to build a more sustainable and transparent cloud industry.

The Cloud Industry Forum (CIF) says that Ensono, a leading hybrid IT and cloud services provider, has become the latest company to join the industry body’s growing membership roster. Following a year of expanding its services and company growth, Ensono’s decision to join CIF underlines its commitment to supporting and promoting high standards of cloud services delivery.

Ensono delivers both private and managed hyperscale cloud services optimised for Amazon Web Services (AWS). Its services enable a transition to the public cloud, full management of applications and workloads on AWS, and assessment of current IT environments and transition to hyperscale clouds or on-site data centres.

CIF is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to improve standards and education in the cloud industry. It provides transparency through certification to a Code of Practice to endorse credible providers of cloud services and, through its Professional Membership scheme, assists end users with identifying the information they need to choose the right services with confidence.

Paul Morris, Chief Operating Officer at Ensono Europe, said: “With every new technological development, organisations are looking to identify the benefits and risks of the cloud and how best to use it. What’s needed is an objective, clearly understood approach to the concept of cloud computing that will detail how it will impact business, how it can be used with existing investments, and which supplier can offer the best solution for a particular business need. CIF has driven this to ensure that cloud providers work together to ensure that challenges to cloud adoption are addressed.

“Like Ensono, CIF is a true champion of the cloud and we’re looking forward to working with the organisation to educate the market and ensure that businesses can devise and implement cloud strategies that will help them achieve competitive advantage. We aim to address current industry issues and establish greater end user confidence in cloud solutions and providers,” said Morris.

Alex Hilton, CEO of CIF, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Ensono to Cloud Industry Forum. Bringing over 15 years’ experience in the industry, Ensono is an ideal addition to the CIF membership roster and it is clear that they have a great deal to offer our community. Analysts, industry commentators, and indeed our own research, point to an increasingly hybridised world so Ensono’s expertise working with customers in hybrid environments will make a valuable contribution to our membership base.”
