The Cloud Industry Forum (CIF) says that cloud-specialist technical consultancy Amido has become its latest member, in another sign that its membership roster is rapidly growing.

Amido is an independent technical consultancy that specialises in deploying cloud-first solutions that deliver agility and resilience at scale whilst bringing a business-focused approach to the table. It was shortlisted at number 12 in the 2017 Sunday Times Lloyds SME Export Track 100, and has experienced a 124 per cent increase in international sales in the past two years. Its vendor-agnostic approach and expert knowledge of the cloud services market enable it to assemble and integrate proven cloud technologies to work seamlessly with existing on-premise systems.

CIF is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to improve standards and education in the cloud industry. It provides transparency through certification to a Code of Practice to endorse credible providers of cloud services and, through its Professional CIF Membership scheme, assists end users in determining the core information necessary to enable them to adopt such services with confidence.

Alan Walsh, CEO of Amido, commented on joining CIF: “We’re seeing a wide variety of businesses approach us to help them access the many advantages of cloud computing and to accelerate their innovation efforts. When deploying our expertise to build solutions for our clients, it is vital that we are fully up to date on the latest advances in the cloud services market. Being part of CIF will enable us to work even more closely with key players in the cloud industry, and CIF’s eLearning schemes will also help us to accelerate our technical expertise. We look forward to working with CIF and its members to drive best practise and transparency in the cloud market.”

Alex Hilton, CEO of the Cloud Industry Forum, added further comments: “Amido has a deep understanding of the benefits of cloud and a wide knowledge of where the market is. As a consultancy that helps organisations to tap into those benefits in a way which is directly aligned with their business objectives, Amido has a lot to contribute to our work and to the cloud computing market as a whole.”
