The strategic new partnerships mark an important step in Digital Space’s CSR plans, which aim to enhance and deliver improved sustainability services for customers. Circular Computing and Re-Tek have built an industry-leading reputation in recent years, by enabling IT equipment to be recycled and resold in a socially responsible and ethical manner.
Through the new partnerships, organisations will be able to work with Digital Space to dispose of and sell their old legacy laptops and IT equipment easily and sustainably. Re-Tek offers re-use as a secure, environmentally sustainable method of IT disposal and asset retirement. It will help customers achieve this by collecting, ethically wiping, and recycling legacy equipment.
Circular Computing is a premium remanufacturer of carbon neutral laptop products, which produces at-scale, pre-used product that is equal to or better than new. As part of its partnership with Digital Space, Circular Computing will plant five trees for every device sold.
Sarah Lambert-Gibbs, Head of Supply Chain Tower at Digital Space, said: “Sustainability and CSR policies have, for many organisations, become an integral part of IT and purchasing decisions. Many IT departments now have specific CSR targets to meet, and as an IT provider, it is important that we are not only investing in our own CSR credentials, but always looking at ways in which we can support our customers too.
“By partnering with Circular Computing and Re-Tek, we have the capacity to support customers from the very beginning of their digital journey, by providing a quick, easy and environmentally-friendly solution for replacing legacy equipment. We’ll do all the heavy lifting, acting as one point of contact so the process is streamlined and hassle-free.”
Circular Computing and Re-Tek will form part of Digital Space’s new supply chain service, Tech Space which was launched last month. The service enables customers to dispose, purchase and get hold of IT and hardware straight to their front door in a quick and efficient manner, enabling them to stay connected, productive and secure at all times.
Headquartered in Newark-on-Trent, Digital Space boasts an impressive portfolio of corporate enterprise and public sector organisations, with key brands including St John Ambulance, Burger King and Hall and Woodhouse.
