Qbilon increases observability to help IT teams identify potential issues before they arise.

Paessler AG launches Qbilon in the UK. Qbilon provides a platform for automatically capturing and analysing data and optimising hybrid IT landscapes.

Monitoring is focused on predefined alerts for known problems and potential issues. Qbilon’s technology is centred around observability that is designed to identify the unknown unknowns in IT infrastructure. It is specially designed to carry out ‘architecture mining’ meaning that the software connects to third party tools to investigate information and data from sources such as AWS or Azure, IT monitoring and management solutions like Paessler PRTG or Dynatrace, and virtualisation tools like vSphere.

Qbilon provides a live overview, regular customisable reports as well as goal-orientated analysis and optimisation. For example, it can offer detailed insights into cost drivers, identify security vulnerabilities and critical dependencies. This allows IT departments and CIOs to gain even greater visibility of their IT infrastructure. For companies this means full transparency of their complete IT environment and more resilience in their IT operations.

Qbilon’s technology is a game-changer when it comes to IT management/observability/systemic oversight visibility because it reduces the time IT teams spend on capturing IT data, troubleshooting and firefighting. This is especially critical as IT landscapes continue to rapidly evolve every year.

Qbilon GmbH was founded in 2019 by four computer science research fellows at the University of Augsburg with headquarters in Augsburg, Germany. Following Paessler’s acquisition of Qbilon in March 2023, Qbilon products are sold in the UK under the Paessler brand, further diversifying Paessler's product portfolio of IT, OT, and IoT monitoring solutions. Qbilon is designed for medium-sized and large enterprises from a range of industries including automotive, utility and manufacturing that are looking to analyse, optimise and govern their IT landscapes.

Martin Hodgson, Director Northern Europe at Paessler AG said: “We are excited to be launching Qbilon to the UK market as there are many synergies with PRTG. Qbilon expands our current offering because it is very much in the observability space. IT is the central nervous system of every business today and Qbilon helps enterprises to truly understand their systems and the interconnection between them in order to deliver a better service and mitigate against risk. We’re excited about what the future will bring with Qbilon by our side.”

Dr. Melanie Langermeier, Chief Product Officer at Qbilon: “We are delighted to be able to offer medium-sized and large enterprises in the UK a holistic understanding of their IT ecosystem. This leads to reduced workloads, decreased IT spend and enhanced security. Now we are part of the Paessler group, we can provide UK businesses with the advantages of more streamlined operations, reduced complexity and a foundation to grow their IT infrastructures efficiently.”
