Mitel has named Simon Skellon as Senior Vice President and Head of the International Region, tasked with spearheading the sales strategy across EMEA (excluding Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) and APAC regions. Skellon's extensive 25-year background in the business communications sector, coupled with his previous experience at Mitel and Atos Unify, positions him as a key driver in realising the company's ambitious global expansion plans.

"I’m thrilled to be rejoining Mitel at such an exciting time in its journey. I look forward to working with the global sales team to drive further growth across our international markets and bring more value to our partners," said Skellon.

Skellon will lead an augmented sales leadership team, including Stuart Aldridge, Christophe Chamy, Thomas Veit, Narayan Gurusamy, and Terence Tutaan, each responsible for distinct geographical regions.

Tarun Loomba, President and CEO of Mitel, expressed confidence in Skellon's appointment, emphasizing the pivotal role of international growth in the company's overarching strategy. "With the recent acquisition of Unify, we have the footprint, portfolio, and talent required to be the top player in the enterprise UC market globally," said Loomba.

Mitel's strategic move to reinforce its international sales team comes amid a dynamic landscape in the business communications sector. By leveraging Skellon's expertise and the collective strength of its leadership, Mitel aims to capitalise on emerging opportunities and solidify its position as a leader in global unified communications.
