Wei Shen appointed as President of Vertiv Greater China

Vertiv announces Wei Shen as the new president of Greater China, succeeding Edward Cui and bringing extensive experience from Gates Corporation.

Vertiv, a notable entity in critical digital infrastructure, has appointed Wei Shen as the new president of Greater China, starting July 22, 2025. Shen brings a wealth of experience from Gates Corporation, a tenure that spanned nine years as vice president, general manager for Greater China.

Before his role at Gates, Shen contributed his leadership skills to Eaton Electrical. During his stint there, he held multiple positions, including vice president, general manager of distributed power quality for APAC, and business unit manager for power quality. Shen has a strong educational foundation with an MSc in Engineering Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MSc in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Michigan, and a BSc in Automatic Control Engineering from Beihang University.

With a career characterized by driving business transformation through growth strategies, enhanced manufacturing efficiencies, and building high-performing teams, Shen is poised to lead Vertiv in a strategic direction. His commitment to excellence and collaboration was praised by Vertiv CEO Gio Albertazzi, highlighting Shen’s focus on customer-first dynamics and execution excellence.

Shen takes over from Edward Cui, who has been a pivotal figure in Vertiv's success in Greater China. Cui, since 2022, has played an integral role in bolstering the region's growth prospects.
