Revolutionising Bundesliga: DFL's partnership with ServiceNow

DFL partners with ServiceNow to enhance Bundesliga's digital landscape, boosting automation and efficiencies across their ecosystem.

ServiceNow has partnered with the DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga, the organisation that oversees Germany's top professional football leagues, Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2. ServiceNow will replace legacy systems to streamline and automate DFL's business workflows, impacting interactions across the global ecosystem. The collaboration aims to elevate experiences for clubs, partners, and fans.

“DFL stakeholders - be it clubs, partners, service providers or our own employees - expect high-level experiences,” says Steffen Merkel, DFL CEO. “... with ServiceNow, we’re transforming how we collaborate across our global ecosystem - leveraging automated workflows and services on a unified platform that supports our growth and strategic goal.”

Robert Rosellen, Country Manager, Germany, for ServiceNow, remarks on the DFL's choice to employ their AI platform to develop a dynamic digital foundation, connecting employees, clubs, and partners through AI-powered workflows. “This partnership is about creating meaningful synergies that resonate beyond the technology,” Rosellen adds.

The ServiceNow AI platform will revolutionise several areas, such as IT service management, human resources, and customer management, providing solutions that support DFL's digital and direct-to-consumer goals. By automating service requests and standardising systems, efficiency across the DFL ecosystem will increase.

This partnership aims not just to transform workflows, but also the operational dynamics of clubs and partners. Using the ServiceNow AI Platform, CRM updates speed up request resolutions, enhance productivity, and foster improved collaboration. IT Service Management guarantees reliable IT services with reduced downtime. Meanwhile, HR Service Delivery tailors processes like player transfers and freelancer management, increasing satisfaction and backing data-driven decision-making.

As Merkel notes, “Our clubs and partners are at the heart of the DFL ecosystem. By equipping it with a powerful AI-driven platform, we’re enabling faster decision-making, deeper insights, and more meaningful connections...” This venture highlights ServiceNow's rising influence in the region and their capacity to bring about digital transformation. The Bundesliga sets a benchmark in connecting with their ecosystem through AI advancements.
