Salute has announced a collaboration with Ecolab, a company focused on water, hygiene, and infection prevention technologies. This partnership integrates Ecolab’s Cooling-as-a-Service (CaaS) programme into Salute’s DTC Liquid Cooling Operations Service, with the aim of supporting cooling management in data centres.

The collaboration is intended to address the complexities of managing the technology loop in direct-to-chip (DTC) cooling systems. The inclusion of Ecolab’s CaaS programme is positioned as a component of Salute’s DTC solutions, providing an approach to managing liquid cooling considerations in AI environments.

The collaboration includes Ecolab’s CaaS capabilities, which cover cooling management technologies such as smart coolant distribution, water management, connected coolant solutions, and 3D TRASAR™ monitoring technology. These components are designed to support cooling performance from the data centre infrastructure through to the high-performance computing servers it supports, supported by Ecolab’s global service team.

For data centre operators, the use of these technologies is associated with operational support as AI workloads scale. The collaboration between Salute and Ecolab is intended to support the deployment and operation of AI implementations, with an emphasis on cooling infrastructure. The partnership reflects activity within the development of AI and high-performance computing (HPC) environments.
