1GigLabs, in collaboration with The DCA – Data Centre Alliance, has announced the launch of ‘Power Trends’, an intelligence platform aiming to provide DCA Partners with insights into Europe’s power landscape, with a focus on access to power as a constraint on digital infrastructure deployment.

As demand for digital infrastructure grows, driven by AI, cloud computing, and high-performance technologies, the platform is designed to support analysis of power availability and related factors affecting deployment decisions. It integrates multiple datasets into a structured system to support investment and site selection processes.

The platform uses live data from transmission system operators, combined with AI-driven analysis, to provide an overview of power availability, pricing, grid constraints, and regulatory changes across 14 European markets.

Key capabilities include:

  • Live grid intelligence: Data from national operators including NESO, RTE, and REE
  • Electricity pricing: Information on electricity pricing and interconnector flows
  • Pipeline visibility: Access to grid connection projects and capacity data
  • Constraint analysis: Mapping of regional power availability and constraints
  • Market assessments: AI-generated analysis supported by more than 60 cited data sources

A central feature is the Power Infrastructure Map, which provides spatial analysis of power capacity, network constraints, and digital infrastructure at a regional level. The platform is designed to support decision-making by presenting structured data for analysis.

‘Power Trends’ is available to DCA Platinum Partners and is intended to support analysis of Europe’s digital infrastructure and power-related planning considerations.
