Cohesity wins Google Cloud Partner of the Year for backup and disaster recovery

Cohesity receives Google Cloud Partner of the Year Award for infrastructure modernisation in disaster recovery and backup with Google Cloud

Cohesity has been awarded the 2026 Google Cloud Partner of the Year Award for infrastructure modernisation in disaster recovery and backup.

The recognition reflects its work with Google Cloud in supporting cyber resilience for organisations, including improvements in threat protection, recovery processes, and the security of enterprise data.

In recent developments, the partnership between Cohesity and Google Cloud has expanded, with increased focus on engineering collaboration and product integration. Cohesity has integrated Google Threat Intelligence and secure sandbox analysis capabilities into its Data Cloud, enabling organisations to detect potential threats within backup data and support recovery processes.

Cohesity has also expanded its cloud capabilities to address data sovereignty requirements. This includes deployment options within the Google Cloud Data Boundary and the introduction of the Cohesity FortKnox cyber vaulting solution. These features allow organisations to maintain immutable data copies within defined geographic regions, supporting recovery in regulated environments.

Cohesity Cloud Services now operates natively on Google Cloud Platform with support for Google Workspace. This enables protection of data and intellectual property stored in applications such as Gmail and Google Drive. Support has also been extended to Google BigQuery and Vertex AI.

The partnership also incorporates AI capabilities into enterprise data use. Google AI platforms, including Vertex AI and Gemini, are integrated into Cohesity’s Gaia solution, allowing organisations to derive insights from unstructured data while maintaining governance controls.

Overall, the collaboration between Cohesity and Google Cloud focuses on backup, disaster recovery, and cyber resilience across hybrid and multi-cloud environments, while also enabling secure use and analysis of enterprise data.
