PowerMaxOS 10.4 delivers performance improvements, including up to 25% faster read response times for SRDF-protected workloads. The update also supports the PowerMax 2500 and 8500 arrays, with efficiency gains supported by the PowerMax node-pair configuration, contributing to reduced total cost of ownership.
Security enhancements are included as part of the release. These feature Advanced Ransomware Detection, designed to identify and respond to potential threats. The platform also supports identity access integration with providers such as Okta and PingFederate, enabling Single Sign-On capabilities. In addition, a 4-site SRDF dual-region replication configuration is included to support data consistency across multiple sites.
The release also expands integration options for application modernisation. PowerMaxOS 10.4 includes integrations with VMware and Red Hat OpenShift, alongside array-based XCOPY and the Red Hat Migration Toolkit, aimed at supporting migration from legacy virtual machine environments.
From an infrastructure perspective, the platform supports SAN environments using Broadcom Gen 8 128Gb Fibre Channel to meet higher bandwidth requirements.
For regulated industries, PowerMaxOS 10.4 includes FIPS 140-3 Level 2 certification for TLC flash drives, supporting compliance requirements in sectors such as finance and healthcare.
