Westcon-Comstor expands into the Balkans with REAL Security integration

Westcon-Comstor launches its Balkans division by integrating REAL Security, enhancing market presence and support across eight countries.

Westcon-Comstor has launched its Balkans division following the integration of cybersecurity distributor REAL Security. After acquiring REAL Security earlier this year, Westcon-Comstor has incorporated the company's operations, market presence, and regional expertise into its broader organisation.

The move expands Westcon-Comstor's presence in the cybersecurity market across eight countries: Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Albania, and North Macedonia. REAL Security, headquartered in Maribor, Slovenia, aiming to bring technical expertise and established industry relationships to the organisation.

The integration combines REAL Security's regional knowledge with Westcon-Comstor's portfolio and operational capabilities, with the aim of supporting partners, vendors, and technical services across the region. The company stated that the integration will retain the local presence and market knowledge that have been central to REAL Security's operations.

The announcement coincides with the RISK Conference 2026, a cybersecurity event organised by REAL Security. Now in its 20th year, the conference is held in Slovenia and brings together industry professionals, channel partners, and technology leaders to discuss developments and challenges in cybersecurity.

The launch is part of Westcon-Comstor's strategy of combining global operations with local market execution. It also builds on REAL Security's existing role in connecting technology vendors with value-added resellers and managed security service providers across the Balkans.

As part of the integration, Renato Uhl will transition from CEO and Co-Founder of REAL Security to Managing Director of Westcon-Comstor Balkans. He will report to René Klein, Executive Vice President of Europe at Westcon-Comstor. The leadership transition is intended to provide continuity as the integration progresses.
