Tech Mahindra reveals agentic development & modernisation services

Tech Mahindra introduces Agentic Development & Modernisation Services, a portfolio aimed at supporting AI-led transformation within enterprise ecosystems.

Tech Mahindra has introduced its Agentic Development & Modernisation Services, a service portfolio focused on application development, modernisation, and operations. The portfolio incorporates agentic AI across the application lifecycle to support enterprises in adopting AI-driven and autonomous operating models.

The introduction of these services represents a shift from traditional Application Development and Maintenance Services toward an approach that integrates AI technologies and engineering practices. Building on Tech Mahindra’s existing experience in this area, the services are intended to support legacy system modernisation, operational optimisation, and digital transformation initiatives.

The portfolio combines AI-enabled delivery models with engineering capabilities. According to Tech Mahindra, the services are designed to help systems analyse, adapt, and respond to business requirements while reducing manual intervention. The approach is intended to support operational predictability, scalability of application environments, and continuous quality management.

The portfolio is structured around four integrated pillars:

  • Modernising Platforms for Autonomy: Converting platforms into modular, API-first, and AI-ready systems.

  • Agentic Software Engineering: Integrating AI agents into software engineering processes to support productivity and development activities.

  • Autonomous Operations: Using AI-driven tools for monitoring, optimisation, and self-healing operational environments.

  • Autonomous Quality Fabric: Applying AI to support continuous quality optimisation across DevOps pipelines.

The launch is supported by Tech Mahindra’s engineering and AI platforms, including Swifter.io and AppGinieZ, which are used for software engineering, platform modernisation, and AI-enabled quality assurance. The company states that these tools are intended to support adaptive systems, operational responsiveness, and innovation initiatives.

The introduction of the portfolio aligns with Tech Mahindra’s broader focus on AI-enabled digital ecosystems and enterprise transformation. The services address areas such as autonomous software engineering and intelligent operations, which are becoming increasingly relevant in enterprise technology strategies.
