Thrive unveils advanced network detection and response service

Thrive launches its new NDR service to bolster business cybersecurity, promising quicker threat detection and response.

Global technology outsourcing provider, Thrive, has announced their latest addition to cybersecurity protection with a new Network Detection and Response (NDR) service. This service aims to strengthen businesses' cybersecurity efforts by monitoring networks to detect potential security incidents in real-time, facilitating quicker response times and preventing breaches effectively.

The burgeoning cost of data breaches has driven innovation in cybersecurity. According to IBM’s 2025 Cost of a Data Breach Report, the average breach in the United States now costs $10.22 million, marking a nine percent increase from the previous year. Such statistics underscore the pressing need for effective preventative measures in cybersecurity, as conventional tools often spot threats only after damage has occurred.

Thrive’s innovative NDR service promises to deliver real-time responses, granting their clients the capability to shut down attacks rapidly. By leveraging AI-driven pattern recognition, the service continuously monitors network traffic for unusual activities that could indicate a breach. This facilitation of immediate action significantly reduces potential harm.

The introduction of this NDR service supplements Thrive’s existing cybersecurity portfolio, which includes Managed Detection and Response (MDR) and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) services. The MDR service works by correlating and analysing logs to stay ahead of potential threats, while EDR focuses on detecting and preventing malicious activities on servers and workstations. Together, these services provide a comprehensive shield against cyber threats.

Michael Gray, Thrive's Chief Technology Officer, highlights the importance of a swift response to cyberattacks: “Thrive is taking a layered approach to ensuring our customers are protecting themselves from cyberattacks. We want to empower our customers to be able to react in real time and stop bad actors in their tracks, minimising disruption to their business operations...”

With its targeted cybersecurity solutions, Thrive not only enhances security but also optimises business performance securely. The company offers a tiered discount structure, where increased consumption of their managed security services translates to savings on incident response and remediation retainers, incentivising clients to invest in comprehensive protection.
