Exabeam updates security platform with AI monitoring features

By enhancing its user and entity behaviour analytics (UEBA), Exabeam's release seeks to integrate AI agent behaviour analytics with a unified, timeline-driven investigation of AI activities. This development aims to provide organisations with capabilities to understand and safely accelerate their deployment of AI solutions.

Enterprises witness AI agents sharing sensitive data, breaching internal policies, and executing unsanctioned changes without clear insight into authorised actions. Exabeam, in collaboration with Google Gemini Enterprise, launched a UEBA focused on AI agent behaviour.

This integration is designed to help businesses comprehensively detect, investigate, and respond to AI activities.

The update highlights the role of AI agent behaviour analytics by centring it within security workflows, enabling security teams to detect and scrutinise AI activities. The platform unifies AI investigations, enhancing the evaluative capabilities to assess security postures regarding AI activities. 

Advanced data analytics and maturity tracking help model emerging agent behaviours to help support investigations and strengthen oversight.

Chief AI and Product Officer, Steve Wilson, emphasised the necessity of understanding normal AI behaviours and promptly identifying risks beyond conventional precautions. He remarked on Exabeam's application of UEBA to AI agents, noting it as an advancement in agent behaviour analytics.

CEO Pete Harteveld highlighted the potential of AI agents within enterprise operations, contingent upon responsible governance and security postures. He underscored how Exabeam's new capabilities can provide insights, ensuring continued protection against AI-driven threats.

Business Unit Director at ilionx, Joep Kremer, valued the connected capabilities offering critical visibility and governance over AI agents, supporting enhanced defence mechanisms.

The release demonstrates the industry's shifting paradigm: traditional security measures for static entities are inadequate for AI's dynamic nature. Analysts predict AI agent oversight will emerge as a core security category by 2026, accompanied by identity, cloud, and data protection.

By fusing behavioural analytics, centralised investigations, and security posture visibility, Exabeam operates in the field of AI agent behaviour analytics.
