In a development within the cybersecurity sector, Distology, a specialist distributor, has formalised a partnership with AI security vendor Snyk. The agreement is intended to support VARs in addressing growing demand for application-level AI security across Northern Europe.
Through the partnership, Distology will make Snyk’s AI Security Platform and Agent Security solutions available to its network of regional partners, providing access to a growing area of the cybersecurity market.
As the use of AI tools in software development increases, organisations are producing more code, often without equivalent security controls in place. This gap is being addressed by vendors and partners across the industry.
Organisations are increasingly focusing on strengthening security earlier in the development process. AI is accelerating software development, which is driving demand for corresponding security capabilities. The addition of Snyk to Distology’s portfolio provides partners with access to tools relevant to this shift.
Snyk’s platform is designed to help developers identify and address vulnerabilities during the coding phase, including risks linked to open-source components and AI-assisted development, with the aim of reducing the complexity and cost associated with later-stage remediation.
The partnership reflects a selective approach to working with vendors in the cybersecurity sector, with an emphasis on technical capability and expertise.
The agreement covers the UK, DACH and Benelux regions, expanding access to Snyk’s platform while providing local support and regional expertise. Distology will offer training and technical enablement to partners, supporting services such as DevOps, implementation and consultancy.
The collaboration is intended to support partners in delivering services in application and AI security, as well as developing recurring revenue streams.
