GasTerra extends IT infrastructure management outsourcing with Atos

GasTerra , an international operating trade organization in natural gas, and Atos have extended their existing agreement for the outsourcing of IT Management with another three years. This will not only allow for substantial savings on costs but it will also provide GasTerra with the opportunity to develop its ambition to further increase its overall efficiency.

Atos did not only commit to manage the complete IT infrastructure, it also committed to desktop virtualization and the management of GasTerra business applications. The groupwill also offer support in the field of telephony and the virtualization of the office environment, in respect of both servers and data storage.
Through this continued partnership, both parties will continue to develop their objectives in the field of sustainable development. In this respect Atos will, to a large extent, base its service provision on green datacenter solutions. Furthermore, the virtualization of the central office environment and desktops will contribute to a strong decrease in electricity consumption and, indirectly, to a reduction of CO2 emissions.
