Successful management of multi-Cloud environments

New multi-cloud capabilities scale discovery and dependency mapping of all assets beyond on-prem data centres to public and private clouds.

BMC has introduced the BMC Discovery for Multi-Cloud solution with new asset discovery capabilities to provide greater visibility into multi-cloud environments. BMC Discovery for Multi-Cloud creates a dynamic, complete view of multi-cloud IT assets, including their relationships across private and public clouds as well as in the data centre. This data becomes the trusted foundation for successful multi-cloud management that empowers the digital business.

With the shift from the on-prem to multi-cloud environments, companies are challenged with security, cost, compliance, and governance requirements.

“The first step in addressing these challenges is knowing not just what assets are in data centres but also across private, public, and managed clouds,” said Nayaki Nayyar, President, Digital Service Management at BMC. “By knowing everything within on-prem and multi-cloud environments, organisations become more service-aware, cost-transparent, and secure.”

“As our service management needs to evolve to meet the demands of digital business, so must the tools we rely on,” said Scott Nolting, Remedy System Administrator at the University of Kansas Health System. “Multi-cloud environments present new challenges for discovery and dependency mapping, and we’ve seen firsthand that BMC Discovery has evolved to provide the reliable baseline awareness required to manage public and private clouds.”
