Schneider hosts event for collaboration across AI and data centre ecosystem

In a week where the UK stepped boldly into the global AI spotlight, Schneider Electric's inaugural Partnering for AI-Ready Data Centres event took place in London. It brought together eminent leaders from across the artificial intelligence ecosystem to explore challenges and opportunities shaping AI infrastructure's future.

The backdrop to this gathering was the UK's string of high-profile announcements, including the unveiling of Stargate UK, OpenAI’s groundbreaking supercomputer situated in Loughton. Further momentum came with NVIDIA's major GPU expansion across Europe and CoreWeave's ambitious UK growth plans.

Beyond these developments, the UK-US Tech Prosperity Deal promised a staggering £31 billion investment influx. This includes Microsoft's mammoth £22 billion AI strategy and Google's £5 billion commitment to a UK data centre, complemented by the North East AI Growth Zone's launch, forecasted to generate over 5,000 jobs.

Matt Hawkins, from CUDO Compute, reiterated the pivotal moment facing the UK in investing in sustainable, sovereign infrastructure and leveraging collaborations to drive the European AI revolution.
