EY teams up with NVIDIA for cutting-edge lab

EY and NVIDIA join forces to launch a groundbreaking AI platform and Lab to drive enterprise-scale AI deployments across multiple sectors.

The EY organization has announced a significant stride in the realm of artificial intelligence (AI) with the rollout of a new physical AI platform, supported by NVIDIA AI infrastructure and software. This initiative accompanies the launch of the EY.ai Lab and a high-profile leadership appointment, marking a dedicated focus on harnessing AI's potential.

The newly developed physical AI platform employs NVIDIA Omniverse libraries, NVIDIA Isaac, and NVIDIA AI Enterprise software, establishing a structured methodology for the deployment and management of AI systems executed by robots, drones, smart-edge devices, and more.

With the integration of Omniverse libraries, EY is poised to assist its clients in developing digital twins to model, test, and refine physical systems before their real-world deployment. This approach aims to mitigate risk and quicken the time-to-value. Furthermore, EY plans to integrate open models and learning frameworks from NVIDIA Isaac, enabling the simulation and validation of AI-driven robots within realistic 3D environments. Additionally, the NVIDIA AI Enterprise software provides a secure, scalable foundation tailored to advanced AI workloads.

The platform is built on three core components:

  • AI-ready data: Generation of synthetic data simulating various scenarios for physical AI.
  • Digital Twin creation and Robotics simulation: Utilising Omniverse libraries to bridge digital and physical worlds, offering real-time insights and performance monitoring.
  • Responsible physical AI: Implementation of robust guardrails that uphold safety, ethics, compliance, and operational resilience.

In line with these efforts, the appointment of Dr. Youngjun Choi as the new EY Global Physical AI Leader has been made public, overseeing the next wave of robotics and physical AI endeavours. His expertise will guide EY in cementing its position as a trusted advisor in this rapidly evolving space.

Another cornerstone of this initiative is the opening of the EY.ai Lab in Alpharetta, Georgia — a pioneering facility dedicated entirely to integrating AI into physical environments. The lab boasts leading-edge robotics, sensors, and simulation capabilities, offering a rapid R&D environment for organisations to prototype, test, and deploy scalable physical AI solutions.

The collaboration between EY and NVIDIA aims to further enhance their physical AI offerings, supporting industries such as energy, health, and smart cities, while driving sustainability through intelligent automation.
